Pumpernickel and Rye, the moody and trendy coffee house located in Urbana, Maryland, is exactly what you are looking for as a place to catch up with those you love this holiday season. I had the pleasure of visiting with family this week, and I can tell you we will be returning before the holidays are over!


Sisterly Fun

Pumpernickel being owned and operated by a set of sisters, I of course had to try it with my own. As sisters usually are, we three are complete opposites but also the exact same. Meaning, we all got different coffees but got to try each others! The coffee menu was diverse and interesting, offering everyone's favorites made to perfection, but also specialties that definitely caught our attention. The beans are sourced responsibly, which shows in the rich flavor.


Iced Hot Chocolate

You're probably wondering what is that delicious looking mocha or frozen coffee or milkshake maybe? No, Pumpernickel and Rye is getting creative this season... this is their Iced Hot Chocolate with Toasted Marshmallow Cold Foam. It may be iced but will still give you those warm cozy feelings of the holiday season along with their other speciality holiday menu items that you will have to go check out.

The menu of Pump & Rye is a stand-out in Urbana. Their deli is innovative and locally sourced, bringing fresh flavors to the mouths of its loyal patrons.
